Seatbelt mandatory
In the front and back, in town and on the road.
Phone while driving
Forbidden without a hands-free kit.
Alcohol while driving
Forbidden, with near-zero tolerance.
Speed limits
60 km/h in built-up areas, 100 km/h outside built-up areas, 120 km/h on motorways.
Roundabouts
Priority to traffic already on the roundabout.
Two-wheelers
Very common in town: pay extra attention.

🎫 Motorway tolls
A ticket is issued when entering the motorway and the toll is paid on exit, based on the distance travelled, in cash or by card. The network is operated by Autoroutes du Maroc (ADM).
